Neural Concept, an EPFL spin-off, was invited by Nvidia to showcase their latest software at SuperComputing’18 (SC18).

Pierre Baqué, CEO of Neural Concept, and his team are on site today in Dallas and making demos of new operational technologies that rely massively on the usage of their Graphical Processing Units (GPUs). GPUs are a new type of processors which are very popular in Artificial Intelligence because they can perform computations faster than traditional devices.

The innovative software presented by Neural Concept is a cloud application where people can play with an interactive design tool using pre-trained networks. This Deep-learning platform allows to train deep neural networks with simulation data. It will allow engineers in many fields such as aerospace and automotive to design better products and faster.

An opportunity for exposure and in-depth interaction with key audiences

“The SC'18 is a very impressive exhibition with all the major actors of High Performance Computing. The demo has been very successful and is attracting many visitors, potential clients and investors”, said Pierre Baqué. The event provides Neural Concept with an opportunity for exposure and in-depth interaction with key audiences. “On the last day of the conference, we look forward to officially releasing the beta version of our software on the cloud”, continued Braqué.

Neural Concept also took with them the human-powered bicycle which uses artificial-intelligence-based software and raced earlier this year in the Human Powered Vehicle competition.

SC18 is the largest high performance computing conference which takes place in Dallas, Texas with over 350 exhibitors and 12,000 attendees from around the world. It’s a marketplace for HPC and networking professionals, attracting scientists, engineers, software developers, policy makers, corporate managers, CIOs, and IT administrators from universities, industry, and government agencies worldwide.
