Following the Federal Council's announcement and the EPFL directives communicated on February 17, 2022, the sanitary restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted at the EPFL Library.

Free access to the Library for all

The COVID certificate or the temporary passes issued to students are no longer required to access the Rolex Learning Center and the EPFL Library. You can pick up reserved or ordered documents at the Library welcome desk, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. During these schedules, librarians provide professional services at the desks. The student assistants are available outside these hours to answer your questions.

Face masks no longer required

Face masks are no longer required at the Rolex Learning Center and the EPFL Library. As we gradually return to the Library, we want to ensure that all users feel safe. Thus, anyone who wants to continue wearing a face mask for their own protection and/or to safeguard those around them should feel free to do so. Please respect their decision: the virus is still making the rounds, and it makes perfect sense to want to be careful.

What if you test positive or show symptoms?

People who test positive for COVID must not come to campus. The requirement to isolate for at least five days still applies (see the FOPH website for more information). If you think you may have been infected with COVID or if you show symptoms, please do not come to campus even if you’ve been vaccinated.
