EPFL CDH AiR Program 2022

Discover the 4 artists of the 2022-2023 program

Initiated by the College of Humanities and amplified by EPFL Pavilions, the Artist-in-Residence (AiR) program reflects the CDH’s mission of fostering transdisciplinary encounters between artists and the scientific community at EPFL. By forging collaborations between artists and scientists in different disciplines, the program aims to establish a platform for propelling new approaches and aesthetic investigations at the intersection of art, technology, science, and the humanities.

“Enter the Hyper-Scientific”

The EPFL CDH AiR Program is delighted to announce Alan Bogana (Switzerland), Dorota Gawęda (Poland) and Eglė Kulbokaitė (Lithuania), Joel Kuennen (USA), and Riccardo Giacconi (Italy) as the artists selected for its first international call: Enter the Hyper-Scientific.

For its first international open call, launched in October 2021, the AiR program received 216 applications.

A jury composed of Mónica Bello – Curator and Head of Arts at CERN, Giulia Bini – Program Manager and Curator EPFL CDH AiR, Laurène Donati – Executive Director – EPFL Center for Imaging, Natalie Estève – Head of Visual Arts, City of Lausanne, Prof. Bèla Kapossy – Dean College of Humanities, and Prof. Sarah Kenderdine – Director EPFL Pavilions, selected the four winning projects.

EPFL CDH AIR thanks all the applicants for their interest in its new program and looks forward to launch the next calls.
